FAQs

What is cosmetic teeth whitening and how does it work?

Cosmetic Teeth Whitening is a non-invasive procedure to help lift artificial stains caused by Food & Liquid. Hydrogen Peroxide and a strong UV paired together will gradually whiten the teeth. Hydrogen Peroxide is designed to temporarily open the pores of your teeth, the UV will then activate this gel to lift those heavy stains resulting in Whiter, Brighter Teeth.

What results can I expect?

Results are highly dependent on the individual client. The more surface stains your teeth have, generally speaking, the more noticeable the results will be.

It all depends on your diet, lifestyle, and even genetics. Just as everyone’s anatomy is different and unique,

With our technology, technique, and knowledge you will be left in good hands.

How long will my results last?

Our teeth will naturally relapse 2-3 weeks after your initial treatment. We recommend a 4-week top-up to try and “capture” any relapse that may occur so the teeth stay whiter for longer. Generally, the teeth go whiter at the top-up and will last anywhere from 3-8 months.

Re-staining depends largely on diet and lifestyle - staining foods and beverages such as coffee, tea, red wine, and soft drink - as well as smoking, will eventually re-stain the surface of your teeth.

Can veneers or caps be whitened?

Yes, but please let us know before your appointment if you have any. If you are wanting to whiten your veneers, they will only go as white as they were originally, but veneers can whiten very well. Caps are a little trickier, depending on where they reside on the tooth, generally, they will be fitted to the person’s tooth before whitening and they may be quite old - they still whiten up and will even out once the natural tooth has slightly more relapse over the next few weeks post-treatment.

There is always a chance that your veneers & caps may be a slightly different colour to your natural teeth, it should not be a drastic difference.

I am due for dental work - Should I get this done before or after my appointment?

If you have any dental work scheduled, including scale and cleans, please ensure you have had this completed prior. The heavy plaque build-up may affect the final result

What locations do you service?

I am a fully mobile service in Perth, with complimentary travel anywhere 30kms out of the Kelmscott area (postal code 6111). If you are unsure, please feel free to contact us with your location.

I have children and/or pets - Can they be here whilst I am undergoing my teeth whitening treatment?

Any children home is completely fine, please don't worry. But know that during the treatment times, you will be unable to get up to attend to them so this would be best if they are old enough to be self-sufficient or you have another pair of eyes on them. Pets are also ok, as long as they are behaved and will not interfere with the treatment, especially for hygiene reasons pets need to be calm, or contained.

Do I need to prepare anything before my appointment?

I will text or email our client consent form a day or two before your appointment. Please read and sign this, and express any questions or concerns you might have before our appointment time.

I bring everything with me, except for a small table (and I require a power-point). Please ensure you have a clean & tidy space before my arrival.

If you’re feeling hungry, please eat, and then brush, before your appointment, as you will not be able to consume anything but water for 3hrs post appointment.

And please, sit back, relax, pop up a tv show or some music - whatever you feel to keep you comfortable during our time together.
